WHO IS BEHIND CONJURE CLUB?
Conjure Club is a cultural project borne from Creole Moon Publications. The idea was to have a means for interested people to access the many documents, articles, and ebooks that are not as well-known as titles published by larger publishers, and to do so at an affordable cost in the most convenient of fashion.
The primary author for Conjure Club is me, Denise Alvarado. The Conjure Club is my baby and I am proud of how she has grown into a whole new conjure course of her own.
Our sources of information include word of mouth from real practitioners and elders, family, friends, and a variety of anthropological, folkloric and literary sources. I have spent thousands of hours locating and reading out of print books and journals, and compiling information from those sources as well. Our downloads include references for those serious students of conjure and for individuals seeking to broaden their knowledge base even further.
If you are an information seeker, an academic interested in the inner workings of southern conjure traditions, or a practitioner of conjure yourself, you will love our Conjure Club. Each week you will receive several digital downloads and eBooks full of information about traditional conjure workings, working with Catholic saints and folk saints, information about herbs and roots, conjure formularies, various spirits found on the altars of rootworkers all over the South, how to work with lamps, graveyard work, bottle spells, money magic, love spells and much, much more!
To sign up, simply head over to Crossroads University and sign up! There are payment plans available for most courses and Master classes. If you aren't ready to sign up, you can still register with the site and gain access to Conjure Corner, the community forum for Crossroads University. I hope to see you there!
